My first video post

Jamie at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

Washington DC by day continued

Of course, we had to find the carousel!

Washington DC by day

Washington DC at night by horse and carriage

The first thing we saw after arriving in DC was the lighted Washington Monument and then the US Capital. We had our car valet parked at the hotel, Hyatt and then took off for a 1/2 ride on the horse and carriage out front. It was cold but so beautiful and magical. We were wrapped up in red and green blankets.

Weekend update

We shopped until we dropped Friday after school. Jamie got 3 pairs of new shoes - red shoes for church, new Tinkerbell sneakers and black snow boots.

Saturday, we went to kids day at Lifeway. I think Jamie was one of the oldest ones. We stayed the whole time, 1 1/2 hours and she won twice; . First was a bag of goodies including the storytime book John 3:16 Happy Adventureland. Second the grand prize drawing - Hermie and Friends, Hailey and Bailey's silly fight, which she was watching most of the time. She was so excited. We were just about to walk out the door when they announced her name.

Sunday, we drove to DC and saw a few things before driving back on Monday. Five hours up and five hours back! They are both sleeping this afternoon to catch up!

American Girls

Jamie and several friends are now in the American Girls Book Club on Mondays. They started reading "Meet Kaya" - about the Indian girl. We have several books and dolls from the cousins. Jamie has read through the first 3 in the Kaya series very quickly this week. Dominique came over tonight and they are dressing up the dolls. It has been a fun experience.

January 2008

We played lots of games the last few days.

Now it's time to do chores. I wrote a lot of thank you notes. Then I got the tree undecorated while Jamie was at school and James took the tree outside when he got home. One project done!

Good News Club starts again on Friday. Keep praying for us! There was a great article in the Virginian Pilot about GNC on Christmas Day!
