Young Authors
Tonight was SOL Game and Young Authors night at school. We had fun. Jamie's book was about the Magic Kingdom and our visit to Disney over 1 1/2 years ago. Jamie had a runny nose the entire hour - so we came home early and gave her some medicine and put her to bed. She picked flowers all afternoon yesterday and it could be allergies or just a bad cold.

Fluffy
Fluffy is the class pet and she came home with us on Tuesday with her diary. She met Dolly and we took lots of pictures. Then we took her to see Dee Dee for a scooter ride, snack of bunny grahams, and then to eat at Pizza Hut. Jamie wrote all about it in the diary. It was so fun. Hard to get the rest of the homewore done though.

Busch Gardens - Day 1
Busch Gardens opened up for spring break. We were lucky to have the day off together. It was nice and cool. We rode the train and asked the engineer for a picture. Jamie liked his overalls. She is so glad it's time to wear them again. Jamie painted pottery. Then we rode a few rides. Had lunch. Caught a show in Italy. Time went by so fast. Back to school for 4 more days then off to Texas!
April Fool's Day
Beware . . . Jamie was planning all week for this day. We even went on the www.familyfun.com website for more ideas. She set her alarm for midnight and left it in the bathroom. Dad had worked late and just gone to bed and brrring . . . the alarm rang. "I know I turned that thing off for the weekend," he muttered. Then I told him to check the window . . . Jamie had left him a note saying April Fool's Day - it's 12:00 am! He wanted to wake her up and my first instinct was to say no - then I remembered and I said go ahead. We went to her room in the dark and he said "Jamie, time to get up for church". He went to shake her and then pulled back the covers - it was Lion King in her bed. He saw her clothes laid out for our trip on the chair next t her bed and was looking everywhere for her. I was laughing hysterically. He found her in the den and woke her up; she went back to her own bed. The next morning she doesn't remember it, but I do - heehee!
I had left James a phone message to call Mr. Lyon about sound for church. When he called, it just rang and rang. Jamie couldn't keep a straight face - "Dad, you are calling the zoo. " WHAT? He was starting to get a little suspicious of us now. Jamie peeled hardboiled eggs for us for breakfast and said she was going to try something new - pepper on her eggs. She had switched the salt and pepper shakers the night before. We printed out an April Fool's Day card and glued it together but Dad had enough. So we mailed it to Dee Dee! He wouldn't even try the sponge cake Jamie and I had frosted. Jamie remembers every story we have ever told her. Beware!
