April Fool's Day

Beware . . . Jamie was planning all week for this day. We even went on the www.familyfun.com website for more ideas. She set her alarm for midnight and left it in the bathroom. Dad had worked late and just gone to bed and brrring . . . the alarm rang. "I know I turned that thing off for the weekend," he muttered. Then I told him to check the window . . . Jamie had left him a note saying April Fool's Day - it's 12:00 am! He wanted to wake her up and my first instinct was to say no - then I remembered and I said go ahead. We went to her room in the dark and he said "Jamie, time to get up for church". He went to shake her and then pulled back the covers - it was Lion King in her bed. He saw her clothes laid out for our trip on the chair next t her bed and was looking everywhere for her. I was laughing hysterically. He found her in the den and woke her up; she went back to her own bed. The next morning she doesn't remember it, but I do - heehee!

I had left James a phone message to call Mr. Lyon about sound for church. When he called, it just rang and rang. Jamie couldn't keep a straight face - "Dad, you are calling the zoo. " WHAT? He was starting to get a little suspicious of us now. Jamie peeled hardboiled eggs for us for breakfast and said she was going to try something new - pepper on her eggs. She had switched the salt and pepper shakers the night before. We printed out an April Fool's Day card and glued it together but Dad had enough. So we mailed it to Dee Dee! He wouldn't even try the sponge cake Jamie and I had frosted. Jamie remembers every story we have ever told her. Beware!
