Halloween Party 1

Jamie and Summer had fun eating all the treats - especially the cupcakes!

Native American project

Jamie and Grandma Jacky worked on this Texas Native American project for several Thursday afternoons. It is due the same day as Anne so I took it in early and hid it in the library.

The crib!

Unpacking has been slow but the first thing done was the princess crib! Only a few more days left until Anne's arrival! I'm subbing about 2 days a week. The days go by fast.

Fall Festival at Summitt Elementary

Jamie wanted to be a teenager and she asked Grandma to help her use / layer all the bright material - reminds me of a gypsy. She has her bangle bracelets to go with it. She had fun at all the booths. Our class ended up with the golf booth instead of tattoos. Uncle Charles saved the day by setting up and taking Jamie around to all the booths. I sat under a tree and supervised.

Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, October 18th, we went to the pumpkin patch at Marble Falls with Aunt Teresa, Uncle Doug and the boy cousins - Lucas and Timmy, in search of the perfect pumpkin. They also have a large corn maze there in the shape of Texas. They had a lot of fun! We even tried some homemade pumpkin ice cream.

Update

James was the first official Watch DOGs (Dads of Great Students) on Monday, October 6th.
He volunteered in several classrooms (including Jamie's) and during recess, the kids wore him out. He had lunch with Jamie and some of her friends.

Today is James' birthday! He's old now. We went to Outback Steakhouse on Sunday night with friends and his mom is making dinner on Wed night for the family.

Last week, I subbed at a high school daycare center for 2 days and one time at the church's Mother's Day out program (over 20 hours). The infants were good practice but the picking up the toddlers killed my back. It takes time to recover. I hope to take today off to set up things (like electric, gas and phone) for the house and then I have a dr's appt in the afternoon. Less than a month to go now before the baby is born!

Baby shower friends and gifts

Thanks to all the church friends and family who came. Grandma Jacky made the lovely crocheted blanket for Anne.

Baby shower food

The chocolate fondue pot was a hit! Jacky did a great job getting the food ready! Teresa handled all the games and Christine helped with the decorations.

Jamie at the baby shower

Jamie and I found a dolly for Anne! We decorated with mostly pink!
