Bethlehem in Burnet

On Saturday night we went to Bethlehem in Burnet with our common ground group at church in the van. I enjoyed talking with Marilyn - the one coordinating all our fun events. She said they came to the common ground group about 4 months ago - about the time I went to teach Jamie's SS class. We got there right at 6pm. We stood in line for a long time about 1 1/2 hours. The girls listened to a cd player we had brought with music and a story on it. It was a little cold at night. We spent about 1/2 hour in the actual place but James had Anne and I had Jamie. We got split up as soon as we went in. He said she liked the camels again this year. Jamie and I liked the temple where the man was teaching his son about scripture; the boy wrote it in Hebrew and then read it. Jamie also liked the story he told about the candles. And the man sang - it was peaceful there. It was very crowded everywhere else but Jamie liked the bread samples. Bethlehem is the House of Bread. James took Anne to see Baby Jesus and she said the baby was cold. Jamie and I did not stand in line to see the manger because our group found us at the end and said time to go. But I at least glanced in at them. It's so hard to find time to slow down.
