Parade of the Decades

Many weeks of research and preparation went into the Parade of the Decades. Found out this is the first parade in about 8 years. Last year was a play about the decades. Jamie's class was given the 1980s and 1990s. The boys did 80s and the girls did the 90s. She wanted to be a care bear but the costume was not available at the last minute. (I used to love my care bear.) She ended up wearing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle outfit. She always wants to be different. She decided not to be in the dance group. It was hot even in the morning. Aunt Teresa and the boys came to cheer her on and help take pictures. I tried to video tape some of it. I was shocked that most of the girls wore makeup without parental permission. But it was part of the atmosphere of the day I guess.
