Grandma - Christmas 2009

Grandma, Jamie and Anne

Grandma came over to our house this afternoon. We spent some quality time singing songs and reading scriptures for Advent. We ate lots of delicious cookies. We had a good history and geography lesson about Israel as well as an interesting discussion about what happened the year of our births. During the year Grandma was born, Israel became a nation. We just found that fact out this morning during our Sunday School lesson. During the year I was born, 1969, the first man walked on the moon. During the year Jamie was born, 1999, there was the big Y2K (computer scare) and we were able to explain to Jamie what it was all about for the first time.
